Loved this place, I reviewed it under another name already. We just happened to see it while driving by. We stopped to check it out. The gift shop was closed, I believe because a hurricane was coming. There were people there who lived on the property, either owners or caretakers. They were very nice, let us walk thru the cave/Boulder trail for free (tho I left a donation in the box). They had beautiful well behaved dogs. We saw a couple of peacocks, the guew was awesome and the cave walk and carvings were cool. I am sorry I missed the gift shop, would Def stop again if I was in the area. It was a nice break from driving. I believe you can go in the tower when it's open, but even from the outside it was nice.
My wife and I stopped here after passing it a few times before. It was a beautiful day and I knew the timing was right. And it was! The view was awesome, the caves and carvings were fun and there was a lot of cool information. I definitely recommend staying and chatting and enjoying the views.
The view from the tower is super cool and the boulder climbing is quite fun as well. I’d gone by it on the 8 a number of times, so I’m glad I finally decided to check it out. I definitely recommend making a quick stop.
Awesome view, very reasonable price. Don't forget to visit the nifty boulder park - so many cool twists and turns in there; every time I thought I'd explored all of it, I'd find another cool nook or cranny. Also, cute dogs!
What a fun stop! The view is awesome, everything is so interesting to look at and the Boulder park was so fun to explore. We had kids aged 5-18 and all of them thought it was really fun.
Great stop between Arizona and San Diego. Awesome view of the Imperial Valley. Great place to get out stretch maybe have lunch. Picnic tables. This is a private area and the owners are really nice. Cool eclectic shop and fun little cave boulder hike to crawl around in. Keep young kids close. There are cholla cactus and small crevices that kids could find them selves up against. Plan on spending at least a 1/2 hour. Tickets are required to go to the top of the tower and boulder path. Clean bathrooms. If you do not do the Tower or boulder caves, it is free. Consider a donation though.
Amazing place do not pass totally worth the stop on the way to San Diego or back to Phoenix so much cool stuff to see and do for the adults and kiddos!!!
We stumbled across this on a drive from TX to CA. It’s tucked away and a little difficult to find. It has wonderful views, lots of cute dogs, and a neat gift shop. We had a lovely chat with Sam, who also recommended the more scenic Highway 80, which was lovely! There was the option for a paid tour, which we didn’t do. Either way, it’s a great place to get out and stretch your legs.
